Here are some pics of the brackets to store your center bows and tube spacer to the windshield
The dimensions and procedure to make these can be found in "Top Bows & Doors"
Lowenuf will be manufacturing these in the near future.
The purpose of this thread is to get an idea of how big the demand for these is going to be. THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL LIST. I just want to get an idea of how many. If it is just a handfull, I'm going to give Mike the jigs as they are. If there are several who want them, i.e. 10 or more sets, I will need to automate the process a little more. I'm in for a three. I know...I'm short one for my other 2A, and I would like an additional pair for the next Jeep.

Jeff
I need one for Mule. She has one and the other is cut off on the second radius towards the bottom so one would be needed.
Hope there is adequate interest, WFB

They are definitely going to be made but if this is going to be a hot item, I'm going to want to change the fixtures some so that they can be done faster and easier. That's all I'm trying to determine. If there are only going to be a handfull of people who want them, I'm not going to get too fancy with the procedure. Either way, the parts will be correct.

jpet Make the top bow brkts. What I have is just a few sets. and am willing to give them up to someone who needs them asap. I have no plan to reproduce a bunch. It sound like there is a good demand for them so you should wip out a bunch . I did find origionals in both 14 guage and 16 guage. Mine on my 48 cj2a were 14 guage

At the moment , the demand is for 12 pieces and you have 12 pieces therefore the demand is zero. Don't get me wrong Rich, I am the biggest fan of free jeep parts(wink emoticon, smiley emoticon), I'm just trying to determine the need so I can prioritize my agenda. My brackets are 12ga which is the same as Jus*Jack's. His brackets were my prototype. |

Well. went out to see how many windshied topbow brkts I had. Thought I had 12 brkts and it looks like there are 16 (8 sets)
If your interested E-mail me at mogger07@yahoo.com and send your name and mailing address . If a couple of you only want 1 brkt. I will split a pair and split the price. If you want more than one pair I will double up the order as long as every one gets 1 set.
The post office has these padded envelopes (don't know what they cost ) but I'll check.
$5.00 a pair plus envelope and shipping . Let me know. First come first serve.
I had hip surgery in June and two weeks ago broke the right femur off at the hip joint .So between my wife and daughter I would get these mailed out as soon as I can. Thanks
Rich
