I have done two with your parts. Incredible how well they come out. I have to post a few pictures later. Thanks for making these. I'm getting ready to order another one soon. Have to get the bend out first.

I have made a new batch of these and now the cost at the sheet metal shop took a big jump up of coarse. The new prices are TYPE A $49.00  & TYPE B IS 28.00. I hope the don't get to out of hand price wise but I can not make them for Free so if they keep selling I will keep making them. Happy Jeepin.

Sorry to say that I have to raise the price of the Type A's to $46.00  as I used to pay $3.00 a piece to have the hinge pins machined and now I am paying $6.25 per pin to machine them.  So the prices are

TYPE A IS $46.00  ( full length with new hinge pins)
TYPE B IS $25.00  ( fits between the hinge pins)

Mike,
Got the repair piece and it looks "factory". Top notch workmanship and quality materials.
It'll sure save a ton of work in getting my tailgate looking and functioning like it should.
My hat's off to you.

This is so ironic . .  a couple weeks ago I came across one of the sections stored in garage,  (that I got a few years ago).  I was thinking then -> anyone new to forum needs to know about these great repair pieces. Smile

I "might" use mine for a '3A project.  The original tailgate is in decent shape,  without rust,  but has a big bow in it,   and some big dents.   If I can't remove the damage by other means,  I will replace the section.

On my '2A,  I replaced the hinge with Mike's,  and love it. Clap

Well Lady’s and Gentlemen boys and girls, I just received my repair section (a) from Gary and this is not just a part it is a work of art! I’m almost afraid to weld it up myself Incase I screw it up.
I’m here to tell you all, if you need to do this repair you will be more than satisfied with the skill and quality that this needed part has in it.
Thanks Mike, and my Jeep Teddy thanks you as well!
Sincerely,
Cary Bauer
