I couldn't find this in the manual. Any ideas?
I tightened as tight as I could with my standard ratchet.
I started a thing up had a Pilot oil under the transfer case and transmission seal.
I got my torque wrench out and torqued to 40 ft lbs. I started it back up and has a much smaller pool of transmission oil.
I cleaned each surface thoroughly. And I also used gasket sealer in a brand new gasket.

Is there a specific torque recommendation? I'm taking it for a small drive tomorrow. First time its moved under its own power in six years.

Also, when I first started working on it there appeared to be a small leak from the bottom most bolt. The guy I paid to fix the thing for me the first go looks like he glopped it up with sealer.

Thoughts?
Thanks for any help.

Funny that there's no spec shown before the 1965 manual.  Ermm
There's a reason it's called Ol' Unreliable
