Trasfer case oil

I know of at least one person that has taken some of that absorbent mat, I think it's called Pig Mat, that you can buy at the FLAPS, and tucked it in between the skid plate and the bell housing for a diaper.

As far as the oil goes, you can put it into a clean container and let it settle for a while--like a few weeks at least.  Then just siphon out the oil, leaving any bad stuff at the bottom of the container and re-use the oil.  Keeping it warm helps, too.

My parents neighbor rebuilt an old REO and had a diaper made for it. In those days you just poured oil in it and it drained out of the bottom.

That helped keep down the dust of an unpaved road.  Don't know how it did for the local water supply...
