A stink bug would be better than, say, a moth. I say that because we're suffering through the worst miller moth infestation we've had in several years. They're all over the place and they get into places you don't expect. My mailbox is attached to my house and I'm leaving the lid open so the postal person doesn't get a face full of moths just opening the box.

Today was paint day for finishing the van's two-tone scheme. I dug out my old Binks model 7 and loaded it up with enamel. Tomorrow is unmasking day! |

Ta-Da! One freshly painted Travelwagon. My first thought upon unmasking it was that it looked like a Palomino. Any other year I would say "where's the next music festival?", but alas, not in 2020. Oh well, there's more work to do anyway.

Thanks! Doing some sanding and buffing while the paint is still “green”- so no one can see the screw ups.

Just a test posting, got a new wifi internet service at my home. Had to resize the photo to fit, first time I've had to do that but it seems to work. This sticker is in one of the van's windows; one of the camper style aluminum framed windows that I almost threw out initially because it didn't match the other windows in the van. Internet searches showed other Travelwagons with camper style windows installed so I'm glad I didn't toss out these windows! The sticker: a co-worker translated for me as a tourist vehicle registration for travel within Mexico. So my little van has done some traveling! |

Otto,
The rig looks great ! I hope the 6t4 Rockin Ranch Arrow I will be working on this winter turns out half as good as your Travel Wagon did. Love the American Mags as well, they bring back a lot of memories of days gone bye. Keep the photo's coming. Frank SW Orygun |

That 'wagon" is looking great. Those "spoker" wheels (that's what we called them) were what all my cars were going to be fitted with as I imagined my collection as a teen.
I know it's not a Chevy, but I can't help but be reminded of this. |

Thanks, the wheels are one of my favorites and very period for the van. They look great on the van- stay tuned.
Stan, being a child of the 70s, I remember that song being played on the radio in those days, it might be interpreted a little different in our modern times. Frank, Ranch Arrow; I just got that! My brother bought a nice one-owner 65 Ranchero some time ago- was a V8, 4 spd car.

Thanks to Covid 19 all of the fun things that I normally do during the summer were canceled. This gave me more time to devote to actually working on projects and making progress toward finishing some. I'll present my van in it's current form; it started off like this:
As of right now it's at this point: I splurged on a new windshield and some new shoes, refurbished a lot of pieces and sprayed a lot of paint. From now forward, I'll be saving my pennies for new window gaskets and weatherstripping. There is 30 years difference between the white van and the camper, I guess a little design change could be anticipated in three decades. |
