Will the early '70s radiator for the 225 fit in a CJ3a or M38 body?

2 different Dauntless radiators were factory.
65-69 is narrower than the 3A grill shroud and 70-71 is wider than the grill shroud. They also run lower than a 3a. The narrow one can be a great fit if you shorten the preshroud by 1”. Otherwise you can buy new brass 3a side mount radiators that already have the inlet/outlet set up for a dauntless. Make sense !

I have some narrow 17” dauntless radiators if you need one.
I will perhaps consider selling a new brass factory style side mount version set up for D-225 hoses. |

Did they go to a wider radiator to alleviate cooling issues? If so, do the "modern" 17" models have more rows than the originals?
