Wow that wiper looks nice and close to what I want and at a good price. Whats the down side here? France? made in France? At least it looks good even if it may not work.

Since it's been in a sealed box, I presume it works. The knob turns free & smooth, and the air inrush sounds strong. But then again, after 40+ years, who knows. When the sun comes up here, I'll hook it up to my car and test it. Sean |

Just tested it on my car. It runs strong, smooth & quiet. Does it look correct for an M38? Since it's made under Trico license, it should be made to the same specifications. Sean Edited by sean |

Sean, I will have to be honest with you, I don't know what a good wiper looks like as I haven't been schooled on what to look for. I have had alot of Jeeps from my original gpw42 in "78" to the completly restored 44 that I sold in "90" . After 7 years of missing my Jeep I found a 2a and have been playing with them ever since. I am not a computer savue person and have not been online for a long period. I find your experiance extremely helpfull. I find I learn something new each day. Oh ya That wiper looks like it would fool me if I saw it on a early Jeep, but I guess I have blown my cover. Not to say that I haven't played with these things for a long time.

Sorry, I thought you had an M38 too. This wiper (I think) would have been an exact replacement for an M38, except the "french" part. It was not correct for any CJ, MB or GPW, that's why I put it up for sale. It was a real nice wiper. Too bad is was wrong for a CJ2A. Sean |
