VIN/Serial Number

   Recently acquired T3C has a data plate but no numbers.  It appears to me the plate was cut off along the top edge which would remove any numbers.  Is there any location on a T3C where a serial number is stamped into the frame or some other metal area?  What is a souce for a repro data plate?  (The good news is the title was not a problem since AZ did not require an inspection.)  Thanks for any help.
