1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
Leather power seats, power windows and locks, power mirrors. Power sun roof. A/C.
(Rear defrost and wiper) not working at this time
116000 miles 360 v8 727 auto tranny.
What really attracted me to this wagoneer was the fact that it did not have wood grain.  I found it on craigslist and we drove 437 miles one way to a little town right on the Idaho Washington border.

The original owner ordered it from the factory without wood grain and then had the maroon painted.  It came with a file folder full of receipts and maintenance records from the time it was new.
This is pretty handy, while looking through them I found receipts for new brake shoes and drums on the rear in 2012 but only 1000 miles ago.
Original owners Manuel still in the glove box.

The original owner passed away and the Wagoneer sat in the garage for 4-5 years, until his son sold it to the guy I bought it from. The guy I bought it from bought it just to resell and put less than 500 miles on it.

Before installing new tires I decided to restore the wheels..

This turned out to be waaaaaayyyyy more work than planned!!!

Step 1- Strip clear coat

Step 2- wire wheel remaining clear coat and paint from between spokes!

Step 3- sand machine groves out of aluminum with orbital sander and by hand!

Step 4- Buff sanding scratches out with polishing wheel and compound!

Step 5- Hand polish to mirror shine!

Step 6- clean off all polish residue!

Step 7- Hand paint with small brush charcoal grey paint between all spokes!

Our family car from 1965 to 1977 (my age 8 to 19) was a Yellow Wagoneer with the 230 OHC and 3 on the tree HOTTER THEN YOU NO WHERE Black interior) After it pass on from being the family car I drove it to work for a summer then the little brothers got a hold of it and spent their time trying to prove the stuff they did in Jeep commercials were for wimps. I think it had north of 250K on the clock when we sold it. still solid still on the road and the guy they sold it to last time I saw him said it had over 300K on it. That was a GREAT rig.

Hey Rick
I actually did see that..when I opened the glove box. Clap

He he the link opened to the owners manual.

I’m glad you brought it up.It reminded I need to add more details and info on my new ride....including the fact the original owners manual is still in the glove box.

Maybe I’ll edit and add it At the top of the page.

Thanks buddy
