Last Thursday i drove out to Colorado without my jeep.
My youngest graduated with her masters degree in speech therapy from the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley.

Saturday we went to rhe Denver zoo.
Here's my granddaughter playing on the brass hippo statue there.

Is is wrong that all i could think about was what line i would take to get a tire up on that thing?

Congrats! Thanks for sharing. And would you have started up the front leg of the baby hippo first?

Congrats to your family Stan. Great pics... thanks for sharing. And yes, you may need a 12 step wheeling program. Good thing you didn't bring GJ Wink

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife.

That's what I was thinking. One tire up on the baby hippo and maybe I could get up on the there. Probably high center on the top, but if Jeff was with me, he could just give me a little push on over. Smile

I saw a few cowboy hats at the graduation, but no boonie hats. I will say that what goes for appropriate dress these days boggles the mind.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

For some reason I can imagine you running your bumper into the big hippo a few times before attempting to put your wheel on the small one. I've seem a few videos.

When we wheeled hippo backs, “back in the day”, we didn’t have fancy lock rite lockers and Novak deep sump transfer case pans. .... I guess “old school hippo wheeling” has become a lost art

Congratulations to your daughter. I bet it broke your heart not to be bringing your Jeep to Colorado.

Our congratulations to your daughter for making this milestone in her life.  And our condolences to you that you won't get the chance to do the Willys dance on the hippos.

Always such a treat when one of the kids graduates !

So, now if you choose to put a tire on that slick hippo, you might consider some pine-sap or extra-siping for traction, or you may slip-off causing a slow roll-over, unless high-centered. :)
