I disassembled my carburetor and started cleaning it up as part of re-assembling my motor.  Little by little...

For a little motivation for ya Pete, I went to the Blues at the Delta Plex, car and bike show, parked next to big block Camaro's and Vet's and where's the crowd gathered around? The 48, most people didn't even notice the crappy paint . Gotta get Lefty going! Joe W

Finished reinstalling the engine and took her out for a cruise at Hot August Nights. https://hotaugustnights.net/

New clutch works great.

I'm still on vacation. So I get to tinker all I want.

I tightened up a couple things after my engine & trans install. I hope it eliminates a couple drips. (It helps if you have the engine and trans drain plugs tight)

Installed four new axel bumpers. Three were MIA and the forth I had stuck back on with silicone. I broke only one bolt.

Drained the vinegar from the radiator, flushed it a couple times, refilled with antifreeze and topped it off with a new cap.

My originality bubble was burst. I looked at the casting date on the T90A-1. It is 9/16/50. So, something happened somewhere down the road and it got swapped. I have contact with the person who had if from '68-'94. Maybe he knows.

Drove her.

Finally  got around to taking the motor out after it locking up on me this early summer while going for a joy ride.
I took it out today and found the crankshaft broke at #2 rod journal.  Now I am wondering if it was already  cracked and that is why I was losing a lot of my oil pressure when the engine warmed up.
I have another motor (M38) to install temporary until I fix the one with the crank issue.

Greeting from the Great White North.  This is my first post on the forum, although I've been visiting every day.  My CJ2A is a '46 76336, that I picked up last November.
Just finished up the ignition repairs and rebuilt the Carb.  I hope to have the first test run this week.
Reading posts of other Jeep people helps keep me motivated!Clap

Changed the oil and filter and checked the fluid levels on "Popeye" the '52 M-38.  Then took it out to the airfield to replace a missing Geocache.  A beautiful morning for a Jeep ride.

Well I finally got the passengers side floor welded in.  Started working on the tool box. It needs a little repair work. Have the tool box just about ready to be cleaned up and painted. A little at time.

Six month old Kaiser brake light switch died. Napa had a replacement. I hope this one last a while longer.

My shifter rails started dripping quite a bit. I just replaced the spring and poppet ball. I rotated the shaft 180. I'm wondering if that caused it to leak more. I wish I would have thought to have drilled and tapped to install the plate across the rail ends. I just stuffed some rags behind it to keep it from dripping its way down to the skid plate.

Drove it to the gym and, like an idiot, ran out of gas. It was a long mile plus walk back to the gas station. Thankfully a neighbor gave me a ride back. So, now, soon as it hits 1/4, it is fill up time. I also have another gas can for the collection.

I'm sorry Micah but I have a strange sense of humor. Your time out walking was probably just as good as the time you missed in the gym.

No need to apologize. It was leg day. I still went to the gym. I just got a double work out.
