I opened the hood to hook up the tune-up meter I recently got from Hamhog, and try it out. It works on volts, pegs the meter on both RPM scales, and does nothing on Dwell. Just like Hamhog said, it doesn’t work. A rainy day project.

It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.

Fun photo. I can’t believe how quickly your son is growing up. (I bet you feel the same.)

The winch is very handy sometimes. I only wish I had something big enough to just rip the stumps out without all the digging and cutting roots. At least it pulls the stump out of the hole once I have all the roots cut. Our property is pretty much all sand and gravel. Where I grew up, which is only 3 miles away, it is all clay, rocks and hardwood trees, so these pine trees came out without too much torture. Our place was built in the 1920's so most times I dig a hole I find pottery, glass, bottles and tractor parts. Nothing to speak of this time though. Edited by drm101 - 26 June 2023 at 1:07pm |

Did you see a Chevy G506 rolling along? A member from that group posted a video of his recent drive through that area.

My buddy Warren! Yep, he was there too.
The fellow in the red coat in one pic is Terry Johns, aka "Trooper Tyree". He organized the trip and drove a 1936 LaSalle. Edited by tamnalan - 30 June 2023 at 12:19pm |

It was a great trip. We followed the 1870s Black Hills gold rush trail, which began in Sidney, NE. Two weeks and about 1000 miles. Sidney was the closest point by "easy" transportation then - it was the closest point on the brand new Transcontinental Railroad. Lots of fascinating American western history in NW Nebraska and the Black Hills, and it was beautiful. Still very green and not too hot.
That old LaSalle is loooong, and it did run great. Terry was by far the most comfortable guy on the trip.
