This morning we (me, the jeep, the dogs) cut some wildflowers for my bride. Jeeps are good for that. It is only secondary we just happened to cross a creek, climb a 10' gravel pile, nose-dive into a big hole that took two tries to scratch out of motor red-lined and chase some geese off a farmers sprouting corn.
I mean, its a 2a. Whats a boy to do!?

Well, we can see that the Jeeps fit side-to-side, but you can't fit two front-to-back. Looks like you can only get 6, maybe 8 in there. Where are you going to put the overflow?

The first time I drove it on the road with the windshield down. Went around 20 miles and found that about 30 MPH is about as fast as I want to go with it down. Loved every minute of it.

I love it with the windshield down. My favorite mode d’operation. But over about 25mph, the wind blows in behind my glasses, makes my eyes water, and I can’t see! I need to get some goggles.

It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.

That is exactly what happens to me, I also wear glasses. You are right at 25 MPH is a nice speed and I will be running with the windshield down more often. Jim

Windshield down, no question. Ya'll just need to find glasses that fit I run 40-45 with minimal air leakage and no tears with cheapy Harbor Freight cool guy safety glasses. Usually pick up 6-10 pairs of each for a buck a pair (sometimes less) and leave them everywhere

Kansas requires eye protection for motorcycles without windshields. I assume that would also apply to me with the windshield down, but I never researched the issue. I just know that a bug in the eye at 35 to 40 miles an hour is incentive enough to have a nice set of wraparound sunglasses on your face.
I really like the windshield down but miss the center mirror. I was thinking of some sort of magnet mounted mirror that I could put on the cowl when the windshield was down. Kansas does insist on two rear view mirrors on any vehicle. I don't have a right hand mirror. |
