ok, jhg...
now you started this. forum members will now need measurements, tech drawing, etc. braised, welded, soldered, or JB weld? permanent or remove-able? only flat head screws can be employed i assume? |

maybe not. BUBBA would not have protected the finish with that heat shrink looking rubber. nice.

I suppose if I wore the “Elton John” style glasses that were popular in the ‘70s, I might not have that problem. They looked like two Mercer windshields. But I went back to the “granny” style, small round lenses, and still wear them. Ive always wanted a pair of WWII-era looking aviator’s goggles. Period correct and all, ya know.

maybe a reflection of "blinds" is not really the best thing to have in a photo of eye protection

I took a drive down the ditch road closing gates so the cattle should stay where I want them. Nope, didn't help. But I had a very nice drive in Matilda today. Saw two bald eagles and two groups of wild turkeys.

And what kind of eyewear do you prefer while frolicking with the windshield down?

Well, I realized I don't have the energy I once had! I guess I can blame the stroke from 5 years ago! But, even though I'm starting off slow I did get to clean up the seat frames and had the pleasant surprise that they were in great condition. I'm curious if others have used the Rust-oleum Rust Reformer? Even though I did wire brush them, I'm wondering if that product has produced great results for others? |

I have used it for years and found it to be a great product. The color will fade to a flat dark gray if not top coated but it stops rust. I have a cast iron hay rake seat made into a stool setting on the porch and my wife asked if i had any black paint that she could use to paint it with because it was starting to rust and looked so bad. She used my Rust -oleum Rust Reformer by mistake instead of black paint and that has been several years ago and it is still doing its job.
