Hi guys
Could one of you guys take time to measure the width of the front bumper for a cj2a please. mine is "U" shaped......dam avocado tree! |

46 inches...but mine is a M-38 frame and bumper. I don't know whether that makes a difference.

I guess it doesn't. My '46 is also 46" wide.

My input may not help much ( project '51 CJ3A, with a bit of a "U" also )
It measures just under 46"

I had to get a replacement, I believe from Walcks. It was a heavier gauge and fit perfectly. Be aware, if the bumper is significantly bent, the frame horns and spring U shackles deserve close examination. They may all be bent. Don't ask how I know that.

The frame was bent in 1/4" along with the passenger side frame rail being slightly twisted. All good now! Passenger side shackle hanger bracket was broken as well. I put new NOS spring hangers on and have new shackles as well. I hope to update my build page soon which will show what's been going on with my 2A. |
