Listed as a 1946 but wouldn't s/n 10619 be a 1945?

In some states back then, a vehicle wasn't titled until it left the dealership. This one may have remained at the dealership as a service/parts vehicle, or just languished in stock, until after the end of 1945.  BW
It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.

I didn't realize that. That could very well be the situation with this Jeep.

1945 CJ2A #10033 is titled as a 1946, and it wasn't first titled until 1953.....

It's always been my understanding that it's the date the vehicle was SOLD as to what it was 'called' ...back then.

Low, do you know if 10033 was sold in '46?

No, it was first sold in the Spring of 1953, directly off Cesor Farms.....

I didn't realize that. That could very well be the situation with this Jeep.

Or it could be that, during a title transfer sometime in the past, a typist struck the wrong key. I bought a 1947 CJ2-A from a friend, and the title came back from Colorado DMV as a '49. They want ME to do all of the legwork, provide proof, and pay fees to correct it. Screw all that, it's a '49 now!     BW

Looks like no reserve and it is in CO. I wonder if that primer could be removed with some elbow grease. Thanks for posting. Very nice.

I would guess this will bring a good buck now that the "Masters Of The Universe" are aware it is up for grabs!

Hammered away for $10,600. Hopefully this beauty found an appreciative new owner.

I do have to say that the seller and I have a slightly different definition of "rust".  I saw rust on that Jeep.  My guess is the seller meant "no rust-through" when he said "no rust", instead of just "no rust".  Still, it is a very nice survivor Jeep.
