I don’t know much about MB’s…. What identifies this frame  as an MB frame?

Seth,

The frame serial tag you displayed that where the "1" is stamped with a capital letter "I" indicates MB serial number 102315 means this is the 2315th MB off the line. (MB started at 100001)

The steering bellcrank would be located on the axle, not the frame, and the frame mounts under the cowbelly gas tank would be on the opposite side. Looks like someone may have welded a bellcrank on the frame crossmember to convert to CJ axles.

Posting it on G503 would make people smarter than me aware of it. (or I can post it there for you, or G503 has a facebook page.)

Also the angled cut at the front end of the frame rails with the hole in the side is an MB feature. CJ2-A’s frame horn ends were square cut and had a bracket riveted on to make a stronger bumper attachment.

It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.

Sad they left the old girl out for so long. Noticed the U-bolt in the upper right side of the dash. Any idea what the purpose was?

Interesting. He basically threw in the the pto stuff. Spicer rear pto’s aren’t worth much and the 90°housing was completely cracked and broken in two. The only thing of value was the drum and shaft 🤷‍♂️
