I just found a trailer for sale.  The seller is asking $450 for it.  Comes with title.

After combing through a lot of posts here and on the G503, it is possibly a WWII or early civillian model.  Unfortunately, the owner took off and lost the original tires & wheels.  Further, he cut out the solid back panel to make a tailgate.

Otherwise, it has the original axle w/ parking brake drums.  The springs look original.  The bed is not too bad - wavy and rusted through in spots.  The tail lights / back end is questionable.

Is it worth $450?

Depends on the condition of the original parts that are left on it and what you plan doing with it. I parted out a junk Bantam T3-C that had lots of original parts in good shape but the tub and frame where toast. I paid $100 for it and sold everything for $1150, I spent a half day picking it up and a half a tank of gas plus a day parting it out and listing on Ebay. So say a whole weekend to make $1000 but you'll need to be Ebay savvy to get the most $$$. WWII trailers will bring more money and have more parts to sell.

Trader,  I do not have pics.  Saw it at a swap meet & tried to memorize as much as possible.  This one is kind of the oposite of your example.  The tub & frame are not bad.  The floor has some waves & a few rust holes.  The axdle is correct down to what look  like floating hubs and brake drums.  I do not know about the parking brake or the hitch mechanisms.  The PO did chop out the back panel to make a tailgate.

My question is it worth $450?  Actually, I intend to offer $300.  It is not a useful trailer.   It's value is it's vintage -  and that has been compromised.

If it has parking brakes, then it is military. I am looking at one for $300 tomorrow. That seems to be a decent deal.

I stumbled across a local ad for this trailer. I think it may be a T3-C, but this is the only pic the ad had.

I'm trying to get in touch with the seller to go take a look at it.

Looks like a btc-3,  the civ trailer had 3 top cover hooks on the side- mil had 4 each side, the civ had a regular ball hitch- the mil had a pintle hook, when the civ trailer was made w a tail gate, gussets had to be added at the back to shore up the sides. also mil had parking brakes for each wheel, w handle mounted on the bed front, civ had none at all. those are the obvious diff.

Someone beat me to contacting the seller. Figures... since he was only asking $150 for it.

They're supposed to go look at it today and check it out. If it falls thru the seller will let me know.

Well, I missed out on the original trailer, but  I have come up with another.  A bt3-c, SN# 17761  It needs a tailgate plus several other panels & parts.

The only supplier I found still in business is D & L Bensinger, but no tailgates.

Any suggestions?  Spare parts for sale?
