I have a 1942 MB and just found a beautiful 48 cj2a windshield. Would anyone know if it will fit on my 42?

Charles,
2x on the fit but... Why would you put a Cj2A windshield on an 1942 MB? Your Jeep your call. Just will not be right. Might consider waiting and finding a WW2 windshield.

I see it from a different perspective if your description is accurate.....if it is indeed 'beautiful' I say buy it. A 2A windshield in truly great condition is hard to come by these days. If the inner and outer frames are good you will have no problem getting rid of it should you happen to find the illusive good MB frame.
Guess I'm saying if it's a good price you should buy it now while you can....worry about the 'correct' one when/if you find it. Just my opinion. |

If it is keeping you from driving the MB, buy the 2A one.
It seems to be an unwritten law, that as soon as you get a good, while not quite right, part, the correct one will suddenly appear. It will be closer to you & in better shape, while being cheaper as well. For that reason, I am with rocnroll on this one. Buy this one & keep an eye out for the "correct" one. |

why don’t you come to the reunion this year and I’ll bring you an MB windshield frame complete with brass latches. This one dropped into my lap and my MB already has a windshield.
