I got a new arm for my vacuum wiper, I double checked their site and seems I was sent the right arm. But when trying to run, the blade hits both sides of the frame and stops, from Sean's parts list it lists the arm as 7" this one is almost 8-1/2. Any ideas?

Not positive, but that wiper arm looks like it may be for a M37 or something like that.

Not sure at all, but looks like the arm on my wagon. I'll measure mine when I get home.

And who might "they" be? You might have been sent the arm that they said was right, but it's obvious you were not sent the right arm. BW

I got it from walcks. Sent them a email describing the problem but haven't heard anything from them. Going to call Carl today and see if he got the email, I'm not surprised it's not a perfect copy, but the length is sort of important.

I looked on Walcks site and it lists the arm is for "CJ, M38, M38A1"

https://walcks4wd.com/wiper-arm-vacuum-lh-or-rh-cj-m.html

Seems to me that CJ is bit vague. At the end of their description below the part picture they do say "On CJ5 and CJ6 models this is a replacement". I take that as.... it's supposed to fit correctly on CJ5 and CJ6, and kind of fits other CJs. IMO that's kind of a crappy way to list it.

I did notice that a few other vendors list what looks like the same arm as "correct for cj2a" . Maybe it's my motor that's part ofthe problem, it's not the exact model that it should have. But I wasn't haveing this problem with my old trico arm that's close to the stock length.

No... your wiper arm is wrong. Your blade looks just a tad long as well.

Guess there's still a market for NOS Smile

48 Willys,

If this is not a museum quality restore or a vehicle going to a graded show. --- want for it  ----

Trim the outer edge of the wiper blade and just enjoy you 1948!

No worries, soon as the roads are free from salt she's getting driven, I can always just put the old one back on. Mostly ordered this one because I wanted to have the arms match, and it got me the free shipping.😀

ordered a replacement arm and received an arm like yours. didn't like it, so used the old arm - had to buy a blade for a rear window and trim it down.
