Since these trailers go back to the mostly 6 volt days, was the original wiring 14 or 16 gauge?

Mickey,
When we created Gales Harness and Tail Lamp Info on the webpage that is one detail we missed. I just emailed him and will respond when he gets back to me. I have good drawings for the Military T3 harness but it also leaves out that detail.

It appears that Walcks harnesses are 16 gauge but I’m curious if the original may have actually been 14. You did mention 16 in your wiring area but I was just thinking that it may have been 14 due to age and originally being military spec.

Gale just responded back - he used 14g in his wiring harness so I'll update the website.
He added its probably a little over kill but is what it should be for 6v.

Art, in your write up, the clips you have hold the wiring harness, was that how they really were or were they more like what was on the CJ. https://walcks4wd.com/Wiring-Harness-To-Frame-Clips-CJ-Models-1949-And-Up_p_2128.html

The write up is how Gale aka bkreutz did his when he used the Military Trailer connector and Model A style tail Lamps.
Bantam used clips similar to these, but not as many as this one is for the MBT (T3) not the T3-C: |
