Looking to install a 302 in my 47 2a, already have the motor and my 2a motor is rusted solid. Am wanting to use the original trans and running gear for now just to get it going.

You would have to go from a standard Ford pattern to the T90 pattern via a thick adapter plate.
Also need a custom special bearing retainer and or special index bore rings. You would have to install the longer 1-1/8” T90 J main drive gear.
You would likely need a custom or modified crankshaft bushing. Edited by oldtime - 22 June 2022 at 11:46am |

So apparently it’s a think plate with a shaft and bearing assembly, do you have a pic of yours?

Yep I never seen one but the one Muley posted certainly looks right to me.
It goes from Jeep T90 bearing retainer index bore to much larger Ford bellhousing index bore. It certainly will require the jeep T90-J bearing retainer and T90-J MDG.

Like I said besides that thick adapter plate you will need:
T90-J bearing retainer T90-J main drive gear .628” crankshaft pilot bushing Clutch driven disk with 1-1/8” ten spline hub. (Typically or most commonly Ford driven disk of that era are 1-1/16”) Edited by oldtime - 24 June 2022 at 2:21pm |

Hi,
I'm the guy who is selling the Novak adapter for a Ford small block to a T90 tranny
It is still available if anybody wants it for $50 just message me in private. Shipping is extra and from Canada. Around $50 shipping give or take depending which state you're from. It is a fairly heavy adapter. Thanks Pierre |
