Perhaps a M38 removable trans cover would work for you, I recall seeing Walcks having them for sale but it could be another option.  I bought a NOS M38 cover from QTM in Lafayette in GA,  Quarter Ton Military, had several rusty NOS for $50 I picked one up for my trans cover up project. I have to cover a SM420 truck trans in my jeep.

Belleview ol skool winch soon.

Is there a difference between column shift and floor shift in the area he’s looking for?

The difference between a column shift and cane shift area are the position of the captive nuts for the top cover.
