I've been looking for one of these for as long as I've had my 48 CJ2A. I know that Walck's used to have them, but nobody that I know offers these.
Does anyone have one they want to part with? I would even like to get some detailed pictures and measurements I may try my hand at recreating them. Don

Mike,
I've tried all of the usual suspects.... but evidently they are not sold in any quantities that justify keeping them on the shelf. Don

Here is what I have done to get my hands on one. I search all the craigslist ads and when I see a derelict CJ with one I contact the owner to see if they are willing to part with the radiator guard. Since it just clips on and is easy to ship I make my case and see if they are willing to sell separate. I acquired two this way that I think I can make one good one out of. Obviously, this is a buyer beware type situation.
Re-creating it will be tough since the u-channel is very narrow and has pretty sharp curves in it. Edited by OnlyOneDR - 06 June 2020 at 2:03pm |
