All of the F Head engines had the later style with the driver side "ear" facing forward to make more room for the dual action fuel / vacuum pump.
What you want is a CJ2A L Head engine plate which will fit the F Head engine and has both feet / ears facing rearward. Looks like Stev has already offered one.
