Were I in need of an engine I would go take a look at this. The old generators are often a source for a good engine.


If you can't get there in a Jeep you don't need to be there!

Thats about 8 hours from me, wish it was closer. But being in Georgia I bet the humidity excererated the rust on that one.

Maybe he meant accelerated the rust. I know from personal experience that the high humidity can make things rust fairly quickly. If one is near the ocean, it can be a major issue. What with the salt air and all.

Were I interested in buying it I would not care about the sheetmetal, and I doubt the engine would have enough rust to damage it. 

He says it runs, and a lot of times the engines from welders or generators don't really have a lot of wear on them, but one this old very well could have been used enough to be an exception to that.
If you can't get there in a Jeep you don't need to be there!
