(and behind my brake jobs!)
All the other guys on this page should take notice and heed this warning. Some guys back off the castle nut a few turns, before they use the puller. Even then it is possible for the whole shebang to fly off the axle anyways and you would have ruined the axle thread as well. Whenever possible, do your drum pulling outside and far enough away from anything it can fly into.
If you have them on hand, a few square straw bales make a good backstop.
