I had one in my 2a when I bought it but to make room for it you normally have to cut a hole in the hood or bubble it to make room for the air filter assembly. I'm not sure if it used the same bellhousing tho. I am in the middle of a v6 swap in that the fabrication for will be done this summer. It involved several adapters (all of which I got from advance adapters or 2nd hand from people on here or on willystech.com) When all is said and done I should have twice the HP with only adding 10-25 lbs up front. as a disclaimer tho,My jeep was a basket case frankenjeep when I got it with no id anywhere on it. so, I personally wouldn't suggest either way if you want a "correct for the period" setup my 2 cents : I have a 1948 CJ2A that the motor is getting weak, and i would like to put a more modern motor in..does anyone know if there is anything out there that will bolt up to the trany? thanks for any help you can give me
