I have only used one; mother-in-law bought it at a garage sale, and it was a cheaper unit. Not many adjustments, had a low duty cylce (had to stop frequently), and I didn't, and I fryed it.

I have since splurged and bought a Lincoln 110 volt unit (which could be run with a flux core wire, but I opted to go ahead and get the bottle). I have used it for 7 years now, without a problem (used to weld in new floorboards, channel supports, even body panel patches).
