I don't know anything about the Jeep specific units, but I am just converting a Corvair to vaccum assist braking. I recommend you go to mpbrakes.com, and look at their booklet information; it gives a great explaination.

p.s. The Corvair is getting disc brakes on all 4 corners, in an attempt to slow down the 350 cu in V8 sitting where the back seat used to be!
