I recently received a replacement frame and body for our '47 '2a, and in the process of disassembling the old one I was able to break the frame apart into 4 pieces BY HAND- this gives you an idea of the extent of the rot on the frame. The brackets (such as engine mounts, body mounts, and spring hangers), for the most part, are in okay shape for being 55 years old. The new frame has all the brackets and mounts I need, but before I haul all the old bits to the scrapper, are there any brackets I should attempt to remove from the frame? I don't want to go through the trouble if nobody would conceivably need them, but if they are of value to someone, I would take them off. I've already taken off the front crossmember for Larry, who needed it for the steering bellcrank mount. Whether he still needs it or not I don't know. Let me know, as I want the old bits out of the garage soon so I can start working on the new frame. Nick
